Is the MIDI port working under a different Operating System? If not,
could be a fault on the card.
Over time a card can get loose in the case, causing erratic behavior.
When all else fails, take the card out and then reseat it. This cleared
up a video card problem I had once. Of course, it cost me $50 for a
repair shop to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with the card. :)
