Hello, I'm currently using the 1.0.10 ALSA driver with a 2.6.15 kernel to support this:
0000:00:1b.0 0403: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 03) Subsystem: Dell: Unknown device 01c9 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 169 Memory at dfebc000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 Capabilities: [60] Message Signalled Interrupts: 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable- Capabilities: [70] #10 [0091] I find (like many others, according to Google) that when I plug in headphones the speakers do not mute, and alsamixer only gives me a PCM volume control. I notice from the 1.0.11rcx changelogs that there's been quite a bit of work done on this part of the driver, which gives me hope... * Has this problem been fixed in the latest ALSA rc? * Is it possible to fix and on someone's todo list, or are any hopes of a solution in the coming months in vain?
