Well, I use the internal chipset of the Asus A7N8X deluxe. This is
NVIDIA stuff, datasheets for Linux folks are really hasr to find :-( .

Moreover, Philipp have an identical problem with different chipsets
(nforce2 vs Hercules Digifire 7.1) and drivers (intel8x0 vs
cs46xx). So the problem probably comes from above the chips and
drivers.

But if you think it can be useful, I'll open up my PC and write down
the chip names I can find around the audio plugs.
