For the first time since version 1.0.2, I upgraded my alsa-lib version
yesterday. Upon upgrading to 1.0.4, any sound I would send to ALSA would
be laced with this repititious, and intrusive static-like clicking
sound. This sound was not present whenever I'd playback audio via the
JACK daemon. I reverted to consecutively released previous versions of
alsa-lib until I got to the last one where the sound worked fine, which
turned out to be 1.0.3a. Versions 1.0.4, 1.0.3, and 1.0.3b all had the
nasty sound. My alsa sounds are routed through a dmix device. Any ideas?
