hi all,
I down loaded alsa driver version 1.0.0 from alsa-project.org and compiled for the platform redhat 2.1. While i am loading the module 'modprobe snd-intel8x0' it was giving unresolved symbol error. ( i couldn't find snd-card-intel8x0)
so i went to the ./acore/memory_wrapper.c and ./acore/sgbuf.c and modified the function call pte_offset to pte_offset_map. then compiled.
now i could load the driver with modprobe intel8x0.
whenever i run xmms it says
please check
1. you have the correct output plugin selected
2. no other programs is blocking the soundcard
3. your soundcard is configured properly

and sound is not coming.

and i have run alsaconf also. even it does n't work.

Kindly guide me what to do further
With thanks & regards
Senthil Kumar
