I forgot to say, that you need readjust the mixer settings after this step and reinsert the snd-via82xx module so these options will take effect.
what do you mean by "readjust the mixer settings" ?
note: the "master" channel has no effect on the global sound power. only
the surround and the PCM one have an impact on it (on rear
speakers).thanks for your help...
