I had 1) and now have 3). I probably would have stayed with 1) but at that time some necessary driver quirks weren't yet written and I needed sound sooner. But now it should work. The Quattro also is fine, but 4-channel audio is quite a bit trickier to set up, so beware. Jack in general doesn't seem to like USB devices very much, so be prepared to run into problems with any USB device and Jack.
