Progress! - driver now loads fine - xmms (using OSS playback) functions as expected, ref: volume and balance sliders But as far as 5.1 is concerned: ./speaker-test -Dsurround51 -c 6 does the following: "Front Left" fires both front speakers "Front Right" is front right only "Rear Left" and "Rear Right" do nothing "Center" fires center and front left "LFE" fires LFE and front right All the siders on alsamixer are set to 50/50 (or the closest I could get) save "Master" which is at 100% DG ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Perforce Software.
