modules.conf:

## ALSA portion
alias snd-card-0 snd-via82xx
options snd-via82xx dxs_support=4
alias snd-card-1 snd-hdsp
alias snd-card-2 snd-usb-audio

Note: I'm using a Via chip on this Asus A7V333-X, but not sure which one
since lspci doesn't tell me:

lspci:
00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
VT8233/A/8235 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50)

I'm getting low volume only out of this setup. With alsamixer turned up
loud the whole signal chain seems distorted. If I lower master volume
and PCM volume it gets better, but very quiet. I then have to amplify
more coming back into my HDSP 9652.

Important - Try all 5 versions of dxs_support one at a time:

dxs_support=0,1,2,3 or 4

and see which one works best for you. Try both 44.1K and 48K material as
it might make a difference, or it might not.

Good luck,
Mark
