Hello list, I am trying to get my Audigy 2 soundcard working with ALSA and for the most part things are working. The only problem is I can't seem to get digital and analogue working at the same time. I am using two outputs on the Audigy, the analogue fronts are connected to a set of speakers in the computer room and the s/pdif minijack runs out to the living room. When I switch the digital output switch on, the analogue speakers cut out and likewise switching it off brings back the analogue speakers but cuts off the digital output.
When using my SB Live 5.1 (not an Audigy) this setup worked fine. Sound would play through both outputs simultaneously. Is this a known issue and are there any workarounds. I did try the native oss emu10k driver and added routes to the right places but had the same problem.
