Good Afternoon, After a little trial and error and a look a the archives it appears that the AD1888 on the Asus P4R800-VM is not currently supported by ALSA. The question is, will it be? Analog Devices seems to have extensive documentation on the AD1888 and ATI has made a point of making sure there is video support for the graphics portion of the chipset (not sure about networking .....). I have the 2.4.23 and 2.6.0-test11 kernel trees set up on my system (along with 2.4.22-1.2129.nptl). Let me know what has to be patched where and/or what questions need to be asked of various parties.
