When trying to insmod snd-hdsp I get:

mgd:/ # modprobe snd-hdsp
/lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/kernel/sound/pci/rme9652/snd-hdsp.o: init_module: No
such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO
or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/kernel/sound/pci/rme9652/snd-hdsp.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/kernel/sound/pci/rme9652/snd-hdsp.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/kernel/sound/pci/rme9652/snd-hdsp.o: insmod snd-hdsp
failed

FWIW here are the details of the RME driver under WinXP Home:
PCI-Bus 3, Device 0, Function 0
Memoryarea FAFE0000-FAFEFFFF
IRQ 11
...and it works nicely under ASIO with latency down to 1.5ms

Any ideas/suggestions how to continue ?

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Could you please send the list the output of lspci -vv ?
Do you have Cardbus support built into your kernel ?

Thomas
