I have the sis735 chipset (motherboard ECS K7S5A), which comes with SiS7012 PCI Audio. I use Mandrake 9.1 (kernel 2.4.21-0.13mdk) w/ KDE.
I followed the instructions to install the __DRIVERS__ on page
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=SiS&card=&chip=ad1816a&module=intel8x0
and everything apparently worked, except one of the last lines that said:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o
In case that didn't have any huge importance i decided to move on to install the __libraries__ and here's what happened:

I noticed the 'SI7018' directory above, and I have the 7012 sound system since that's what comes with this chipset. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem though.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I've followed every instruction exactly and have also read the INSTALL files, which have similar instruction, but they all end with these error messages once installing the libraries. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If any more information is necessary I would be glad to provide it.
