Problem so far: I am trying to enable 5.1 out on the blue/pink jacks on a KT600 mobo
with 8235 south bridge and Realtek ALC655.

I have downloaded the datasheet (ftp://210.51.181.211/pc/ac97/alc655/alc655_data7.zip)
and there are the following instructions:

Mixer register 6A == Multi Channel Control
Default value is 0000h

Bit 10 R/W MIC1 & MIC2 / CENTER & LFE Output Control
0: pin-21 is MIC1, pin-22 is MIC2 (default)
1: pin-21 is CENTER-Out, pin-22 is LFE-Out.

Bit 9 R/W Line-In / Surround Output Control
0: pin-23 and pin-24 are analog input (Line-In). (default)
1: pin-23 and pin-24 are duplicated output of surround channel (Surround-Out)

I guess I need to set Bit 10 and Bit 9, i.e., I want mixer register 6A == 0600h,
any ideas how to do this on the command line?

Thank you.
