Hello I've a P4P800 (deluxe) motherboard with the chip ad1985 i installed alsa (+oss emulation) from cvs, and the sound works , but i can only play one sound at a time. If a second application try to use /dev/dsp , it freezes until the first sound has finished. So , does this chip support hardware mixing ? if yes what must i do to use it , and if no, is it possible that when a sound is already playing, that accessing /dev/dsp gives 'device or resources busy' instead if freezing the application ?
