Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't...
It might work fine after being set with alsamixer and I do an 'alsactl -f /etc/asound.state store', but only to find that next time I reboot it doesn't work and even after fiddeling with alsamixer (it was reset on all values and no matter how much I fiddle it won't give me sound now.
I tried reloading the odules again and restarted mplayer and still no sound, but when I now opened alsamixer in a third terminal (as root) it did get a new mixer where everything was muted and when I unmuted and increased volume....lo and behold I have sound!
What is happening?
Any insights?
