The es1688 driver doesn't seem to work at all. I have this chip in a notebook. The kernel (oss/free) driver works, ALSA does not :-(
ALSA driver: modprobe snd-es1688 -> no such device modprobe snd-es1688 port=0x220 irq=5 dma8=1 -> no such device Kernel driver: modprobe sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 esstype=1688 -> works I'm using ALSA 0.9.2 and it didn't work with 0.9rc-something either. ~sth PS: I still have the problem that turning the pcm volume > 75% starts to distort the sound more and more with my DMX XFire1024 (snd-cs46xx) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
