I have a Terratex EWX24/96 and ALSA 0.9 installed and it works very well,
but I have one problem: If y boot my system I have no sound and no
sound-modules are loaded (said lsmod).
So I have to do this:
/sbin/modprobe snd-ice1712
/usr/bin/amixer -q sset DAC,0 100%
/usr/bin/amixer -q sset DAC,1 100%
Now, sound is working very well.
I tried a lot of things. For me its the only possibility to hear something.
I DONT have snd-ice1712 in my /etc/modules !
I tried ALSA 0.9rc1 and rc5. I tried with Debian stable AND testing, kernel
2.4.18 and 2.4.19.
While booting debian, I get a message like "Starting ALSA sound driver
(snd-ice1712) done"

fter I installed alsa I did an update-modules. I think all files, devices,
modules etc. are installed correctly. I configured ALSA with alsaconf.
I tested the sound from root with amixer snd alsamixer, no desktop-programs.
I have no error-messages.
