Hi all, I have a problem with the via82xx driver that I'm hoping someone else has encountered and solved - while it plays fine, it only records silence.

I can do

$ aplay some.wav

without a problem, sounds great. I have my tv card connected up to line in, have the channels unmuted, and input level set to max, I can hear the input fine on the line out (and volume is normal, and controllable by master volume or input level independantly), and when I do

$ arecord someother.wav

it all *appears* to work fine. I stop the recording and play it back, but only silence has been recorded (i.e no sound at all). I am stumped as to why this isn't working.

Here is the output from various stuff that might be of help.
