I have been having the lack of bass issues w/ the new cs46xx code with
the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (Much like some others on this list).
However, I have noticed that this issue only occurs using certain
speakers. My main speaker setup is a pair of Klipsch 2.1's. Using
these speakers, the bass is muted. However, using my Sennheiser
headphones there seem to be no difference in bass output between the new
dsp code and the old one. Another thing I have noticed is that if I set
one of the stereo channel volumes to be lower than the other one (using
alsamixer), the bass comes back. I am assuming that there is some mixing
done in the speaker itself that is causing the muted bass, but this only
happens with this new cs46xx driver. Anyone notice the same or know of
a fix? THanks
