Dear All, I have changed my /etc/modules.conf as suggested but no change. I could not get any sound at all with arts enabled in the sound server. I decided to disable it and then I got the repetitive sound again for system sounds. Midi and mp3 players do not work. With the arts enabled midi plays or thinks it is playing but no sound comes out. When I disable arts then I get an error message for midi and it plays nothing. I am at a loss at what to do. Are there any more files to check or correct? Thanks for your kind help Wily and Tomaz.
