Hey group,

I built alsa-0.9.0rc5 and I am having problems compiling some apps.
I am trying to install gnome-media-2.0.2.5 and the build fails when I
enable alsa, however it compiles fine without alsa support. I get a lot
of:
In file included from gmix.c:72:
gmix.h:76: parse error before "snd_mixer_group_t"
gmix.h:103: parse error before '}' token
gmix.c:87: parse error before '*' token
gmix.c:95: parse error before "channel_info"
gmix.c:96: parse error before "channel_info"
gmix.c:97: parse error before "channel_info"
gmix.c:98: parse error before "channel_info"
gmix.c:99: parse error before "channel_info"
gmix.c:219: parse error before "read_cbs"
gmix.c:225: parse error before "snd_mixer_eid_t"
gmix.c: In function `element_cb':
gmix.c:226: `data' undeclared (first use in this function)
gmix.c:226: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
gmix.c:226: for each function it appears in.)
gmix.c:228: `snd_mixer_element_info_t' undeclared (first use in this
function)
...

grepping for any of the undeclared identifiers in /usr/include yeild
nothing. What is going on with alsa? Has rc5 changed the API?

Thanks for any help,

Jim Drabb
