There is almost certainly better ways to do this than what I did. I used an option in alsaplayer to set the rate. (alsaplayer -F 48000) :but it didn't make any difference, it still says 44100. BTW, the ALSA :docs for the intel8x0 say : : # parm: snd_ac97_clock int array (min = 1, max = 8), : description "AC'97 codec clock (0 = auto-detect)." : :Playing with this option doesn't make any difference. I'll have to give this a try when I get home tonight and see what I can do with this.
