Greg,

How do I change the sampling rate? I tried the line

options snd-intel8x0 snd_id=CARD_0 snd_index=0 snd_ac97_clock=48000

but it didn't make any difference, it still says 44100. BTW, the ALSA
docs for the intel8x0 say

        # parm: snd_ac97_clock int array (min = 1, max = 8),
          description "AC'97 codec clock (0 = auto-detect)."

Playing with this option doesn't make any difference.
