Hi, I am having problems with Alsa on my Dell Inspiron laptop which has an i845MZ motherboard and uses the i8x0 audio drivers (sorry, haven't got the exact make and model of the sound card here). I've tried using both the Alsa and modules supplied with the kernel but the both suffer from the same problems.
This is stuttering and crackling from the speakers, particulary when playing games. Stuff like playing MP3s works fine though. I'm using Alsa 0.9.0rc3 on Kernel 2.4.19.
