Thank you. Now "Optical" input is selected successfully.

I tried recording by using ecasound. But it failed in the
following way. Let me know what is wrong.

% ecasound -i alsahw,0,0 -o test.wav
****************************************************************************
*               ecasound v2.1dev10 (C) 1997-2002 Kai Vehmanen
****************************************************************************
- [ Session created ] ------------------------------------------------------
- [ Chainsetup created (cmdline) ] -----------------------------------------
- [ Connecting chainsetup ] ------------------------------------------------
(eca-chainsetup) 'rt' buffering mode selected.
(eca-control) ERROR: Connecting chainsetup failed: "Enabling chainsetup:
AUDIOIO-ALSA: buffersize 1024 is out of range!"

If I specify the buffer size to 512,

% ecasound -b 512 -i alsahw,0,0 -o test.wav
****************************************************************************
*               ecasound v2.1dev10 (C) 1997-2002 Kai Vehmanen
