I think you are using the ALSA 0.5.x series or an early 0.9.x release (the
latest drivers don't have -card- in their module names ;) ).

The ALSA 0.5.x series is deprecated, see http://wwww.alsa-project.org .

You have 'PnP OS installed' set to 'no' in the BIOS right? HTH,
