no matter what I do I just can't get sb live! to record, here's what I
tried:
arecord to file or arecord|aplay
muting and unmuting various capture channels, namely the following
(that's for mic in 2 and rca on the front panel):
Line LiveDrive
Line LiveDrive Capture
Line LiveDrive 1
Aux
Capture
Mix
Mix Mono
btw why do some channels have capture channel (like Line LiveDrive
above) and some don't (like Line LiveDrive 1)?
do these ports work (for recording?)
relared: it was asked before but I saw no responses - what do various
controls on sb live! mean?
it is also very hard to figure out which features are supported for
given cards - would it be possible to make the supported card matrix a
little bit more detailed? as it is now it doesn't say much - it says the
card is supported or no but nothing about specific features (e.g. front
panel midi in on sb live! etc.)
alsa 0.9, kernel 2.4.18, debian unstable
