You can ask it to use the ALSA sequencer interface by passing the "-malsa_seq" flag on the command line. Normally, iiwusynth should then show up with aconnect. > iiwuplay does not work either. By default, it's set rather low because the synthesizer does not have any automatic gain control. Try it again, but with the -g1 (i.e. gain = 1) option. If that doesn't help contact me personally. > And now on to the most astonishing thing: I built the swami soundfont > editor (successor of smurf) which uses iiwusynth for on-the-fly testing > of instruments. It doesn't go through the ALSA interface. > However, the transport (i.e playing chosen instruments at certain > pitches) does work and I hear the notes. I'll forward the mail to the swami developers list. > Thanks in advance for any pointers, Hope this helps, Peter > Frank > > ------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: ThinkGeek at http://www.ThinkGeek.com/ _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
