I'm trying to build the alsa driver for an old SB16 in a restrictive
environment (32MB old Pentium).
After an apparently successful build, modprobe outputs:
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/snd-sb16-csp.o: unresolved symbol snd_hwdep_new_R94cddeae
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/snd-sb16-csp.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/snd-sb16-csp.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/snd-sb16-csp.o: insmod snd-sb16 failed

I can't find that symbol anywhere.
This machine has NO cdrom support and this symbol seems to be connected
to CD support (?) .
Any assistance appreciated.
