I have configured alsa-driver 0.9.0rc1 with kernel 2.4.18, and snd-emu10k1 module now loads OK, as shown by lsmod. However, there is no sound.
I have run alsamixer and unmuted the master and master mono channels, and saved the configuration with alsactl. The only message in /var/log/messages is: "PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:0d.0". The sound related entries in /etc/modules.conf are: alias sound off alias midi off alias char-major-116 snd options snd snd_major=116 snd_cards_limit=1 snd_device_mode=0666 alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1 options snd-emu10k1 snd_index=0 alias char-major-14 soundcore alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0 alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss My sound card (SB Live! 128) previously worked with kernel 2.4.7 and ALSA 0.5.9. Any ideas on what to try? For instance, is there a basic test program which will drive the sound card? -- David Jarvie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas - http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm?source=osdntextlink _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
