I cvs updated -(not really sure it really changed anything, but made me feel better ;-)) and ./cvscompiled alsa-utils and still all I ever seem to get is:
[root@localhost alsa-utils]# ./cvscompile aclocal: configure.in: 11: macro `AM_PATH_ALSA' not found in library CFLAGS=-O2 -Wall -pipe -g ./configure loading cache ./config.cache ./configure: line 526: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(alsa-utils,' ./configure: line 526: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(alsa-utils, 0.9.0rc1)' I commented # out the AM_PATH_ALSA and AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE but it only seems to give other things it can't find. Am I doing this the correct way by commenting out stuff. Can't find one mixer that will work with alsa0.9.0rc1...alsa hell! In danger of ruining marriage, losing cat and possible kids(negotiable). Some ppl.say 'oh,I just cvs updated and things were great, sorry'. -yeah,right.
