Hi,

I just bought a Soundblaster Live. The card works fine with OSS, also in
analog surround mode. But when I load the alsa drivers I can hear an
annoying sound from the center speaker all the time (it sounds like a
buzzer).
When I start XMMS, for example, I can hear the music playing but again
the center channel will produce noise. It then sounds more like a radio
which is only receiving a very bad signal.
I don't know, whether this problem also exists in digital mode, since I
don't have the appropriate speaker system.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

My system: Sounblaster Live! Player 5.1 (EMU10K1 rev7)
           Mainboard with AMD Irongate chipset
           Alsa 0.9.0beta12
           Debian Woody

Thanks in advance,

Carsten
