Hello developers,
I am an user of ALSA for my sound system, and I recently
adquired a sound card supported by Envy24. I thought it was not
so much difficult to configure it and make it ship. But I have
the following problem:
I modified the fields in modules.conf, as I suppose you know,
but the sound card do not work properly. I can receive the sound,
altough it is very weak.
But, when I try to reproduce the sound, it does not work. I suppose the reason,
I did not modify volumen or control, but here is my problem,
"envy24control" is unable to open the device. Other controllers
(arecord, amixer) has the same problem. What can happen?
Other question is about the actually new versions
of ALSA. What are the advantage of the version beta12 over beta10?
