I tried the latest CVS but had issues compiling it, even the code for most of the month of Feb. It looked like the code was broken so I went back to the 2002-01-31 cvs snapshot, which compiled ok. Anything seemed to compile, install and load ok. I can cat sound files to the /dev devices and use aplay to get some output. I seems to be working in this regard. When I play CD's I get no sound output though, the same problem if I start a game..etc...wierd. Did you experiance anything like this ? btw, the cvs code still seems to indicate version 0.9.0beta10, could that still be an issue? Have you tried kernel 2.5.5pre1 (which supposedly has alsa in the src tree) ?
