me too... >Anybody has really tried the EWX? Yes, I have one, I'm able to play wav's with aplay. And that's about it. I'm not sure if it's a problem with alsa, with my system, with me or with this damn soundcard. But there are reports that the card works. Perhaps someone knows something: (Debian GNU/Linux sid, 2.4.17, alsa 0.9 beta10) I have the following alsa related modules loaded: core:/etc# lsmod Module Size Used by Not tainted soundcore 3364 0 (autoclean) snd-seq-midi 4320 0 (autoclean) (unused) snd-seq-oss 23840 0 (unused) snd-seq-midi-event 2712 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss] snd-seq 42860 2 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss snd-seq-midi-event] snd-pcm-oss 45248 0 (unused) snd-mixer-oss 11168 0 [snd-pcm-oss] snd-card-ice1712 36704 0 snd-pcm 56864 0 [snd-pcm-oss snd-card-ice1712] snd-timer 12352 0 [snd-seq snd-pcm] snd-ac97-codec 24576 0 [snd-card-ice1712] snd-cs8427 4380 0 [snd-card-ice1712] snd-i2c 2376 0 [snd-card-ice1712 snd-cs8427] snd-mpu401-uart 3376 0 [snd-card-ice1712] snd-rawmidi 13952 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-mpu401-uart] snd-seq-device 4272 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss snd-seq snd-rawmidi] snd 31912 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss snd-seq-midi-event s nd-seq snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-card-ice1712 snd-pcm snd-timer snd-ac97-cod ec snd-cs8427 snd-i2c snd-mpu401-uart snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device] When I try to run alsaplayer I get the following: ijuz@core:~$ alsaplayer AlsaPlayer 0.99.36 (C) 1999-2001 Andy Lo A Foe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and others. I think it has something to do with the sound format, but I'm not sure. Christian Leber -- "Omnis enim res, quae dando non deficit, dum habetur et non datur, nondum habetur, quomodo habenda est."
