Sure, I did! When I inspect /proc/asound... everything seems to be ok. Even
the IO-address and IRQ found with the alsadriver agrees (mostly...) with
that in Windows 98. The mixer works as it should, but no sound!

When I boot Linux with the boot manager (in the MBR) then everything
seems to be recognized correctly. However, when I start with LOADLIN
from DOS the IO-address is mostly wrong... Maybe this is a sign of some
kind of problem.

I can start players like xmms or the CD-player, even see the spectrum
analyzer but I do not hear anything.

Eeltje
