(etc...). Because I found at the website of Suse that sound with VIA 82C686 was supported, I decided to buy Suse 7.3 Professional. The installation was very simple, the sound on the motherboard was recognized and everything was installed. However: once again no sound!! Sound works excellent in Windows 98. Has anybody a suggestion? Once again I checked all and all indications are that sound should work. Suse support has only confirmed my request for help.... dr.
