Answering my own question .... I get "unresolved symbols" in the snd-rawmidi module, and so the ALSA drivers do not all load, and - of course - then won't work. Shame, too - I have 4 speakers on my SBLive!, and with OSS, I only get sound from 2; ALSA gave me all 4. :-( -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael J.
