Mandrake moved kernel headers into glibc, I believe. Which says to me that you would also need to get a glibc upgrade, presuming that they've made one available. One reason why I don't use Mdk's supplied kernel's; I make my own. > [root@darkside alsa-driver-0.9.0beta10]# ./configure > --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux > --with-moddir=/lib/modules/2.4.16.2mdk-1-1mdk/alsa --with-cards=trident > loading cache ./config.cache > checking for gcc... gcc > checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes > checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no > checking whether we are using GNU C... yes > checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes > checking for ranlib... ranlib > checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c > checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E > checking for ANSI C header files... yes > checking for linux/fs.h... yes > checking for working const... yes > checking for inline... inline > checking whether time.h and sys/time.h may both be included... yes > checking whether gcc needs -traditional... no > checking for current directory... /usr/local/src/alsa-driver-0.9.0beta10 > checking for directory with kernel source... /usr/src/linux > checking for kernel version... expr: syntax error > expr: syntax error > expr: syntax error > failed (probably missing /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h) > > Bill > > Mandrake 8.1 > Trident Microsystems 4DWave NX sound card > -- > When in doubt, tell the truth. - Mark Twain > > _______________________________________________ > Alsa-user mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user > _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
