Already put in devfsd.conf and also restarted devfsd, doesn't seem to work.
Also compiled the kernel with OSS sound support.
The modules are being loaded, I can see them all using lsmod:
----- start
[root@asaf alsa-driver-0.9.0beta8a]# /sbin/lsmod
Module Size Used by
snd-card-intel8x0 8016 0 (unused)
snd-pcm 46144 0 [snd-card-intel8x0]
snd-timer 9552 0 [snd-pcm]
snd-ac97-codec 22672 0 [snd-card-intel8x0]
snd 24016 0 [snd-card-intel8x0 snd-pcm snd-timer
snd-ac97-codec]
----- end
but /dev/dsp does not exist nor /dev/sound/dsp .
I had no problems with the loading kernel's original i810 sound modules,
however these are buggy, that's why I want to use ALSA driver.
Any further idea?
