It's strange that arts crashes. What's the problem exactly and what version 
of KDE do you use ?
As regards "modversions.h" I think I cannot help you unless you send the 
lines that indicates that "configure" or "make" has failed. Besides, what's 
the difference between your current kernel version's modversions.h and the 
RedHat's version ?
