Hi,
I believe that my question has been asked many times, but I didn't manage to
find a detailed enough answer yet...
I have an Intel on board sound card. It worked fine with the kernel's drivers
until version 2.4.10 . I use KDE, and its sound server (arts) keeps crashing.
I read that ALSA drivers solve the problem. While trying to compile the
driver, I had a problem with modversions.h . RedHat's modversion.h doesn't
compile and that's on purpose. However, I did not manage to find my kernel's
version of modversions.h . What should I do? The only modversions.h I found
is RedHat's. Do I have to recompile the kernel again? What exactly should I
do? Another question: should I compile the kernel with support for OSS
modules?
TIA,
Asaf Gery.
