The scenario I was concerned about when I drafted it was what if I
change the hat in my signature, but my next post is to a-d?
It's not a public statement, so it doesn't run afoul of R2471. It might
cause confusion about the true state of the player's hat, but it's just
a hat. Is there any other way it could go awry? (I was not and am not
sure, so I could be persuaded it's fine.)
