Perhaps we should probably adjust Rule 2472 to place a SHALL NOT on officers deputising for an incompatible office? (A CANNOT wouldn't work, both for power reasons, and because there would be a workaround of resigning your office and then deputising for it to get it back – besides, the capability seems useful for recovering in an emergency.) -- ais523
