Not-so-gratuitous arguments:

The Rules state that a contract must be made "with the intention that
it be binding upon [the parties]." When I published this pledge, I
didn't intend for it to be binding on anyone *else*, only on myself.

Furthermore, if a player does place a bet, there is no evidence that
the player consents, agrees, or intends to enter into any kind of
agreement.

Furthermore, the fact that I labeled my announcement as a pledge
suggests that I did not intend for it to be a contract.
