A very intriguing contract. It looks like it would probably work as is, but I have several improvements:
The first sentence of Section 1 is phrased in a misleading way. Try "Any player CAN become a member of this contract by agreeing to join. Unambiguously taking an action defined within this contract constitutes agreement." The key point is that the only way a player can join is by agreeing (per the rules), but you're providing an implicit avenue for that agreement. The provision that "its text otherwise CANNOT be changed" is ineffective. Any contract can be changed by the agreement of its parties, whether it is willing to admit that fact or not. Anyway, making something unamendable is almost always a bad idea. If you don't want to provide any non-default method for amendment, just leave out that provision. Another observation is that one can't submit a contract anymore. When you want it to be available for use, just post it and say that you agree to it, and it will become a contract as soon as someone else joins. -Aris On Wed, Jul 11, 2018 at 4:11 PM Kerim Aydin <ke...@u.washington.edu> wrote: > > > > Anyone have ore? > Anyone want Coins? > > * Refineries have no carrying capacity. > * I'm standing on a Rank-5 refinery that can make 13 Coins from every ore. > * Let's see if we can get people back in the Coins game! > * (yes, this is a last-ditch attempt to diversify land ownership). > > > This is a proto-contract (proofing would be great).
