You are correct that I did not sufficiently up the standards of proof at
the appeals level (should have asked myself if the judge was beyond-a-
doubt reasonable, not simply generally reasonable).  At the same time, in 
criminal courts, appeals of previous convictions do in fact have different 
standards (once convicted, the defendant has a higher bar to clear for 
appeals to be admitted).  I urge the other justices to consider this 
particular point.
