Way back in 2001, part of the reason we wrote the UNDEAD the way we did was
as a challenge: could a conspiracy make something secret (including its
members), but still make it a legal part of the gamestate, and legally
protect the secret from other players who were determined to find out
about it? The challenge was interesting enough to create that retroactive
self-replication (it was created in response to the attacks) and we're
still a wee bit proud of that.

As your post shows, the challenge has once again been raised, so the
UNDEAD is once again fulfilling (part of) its purpose. I am therefore
happy from your email that you take in in the same spirit, while I intend
to continue to do what I can to make it a challenge If I step over the
line in doing so a criminal case is certainly appropriate; but at the
same time I don't want to be subject to the parade of "nuisance" suits.

Nothing in the above should imply that the UNDEAD if it exists doesn't
have more direct, possibly nefarious *reasons* to keep things secret.
I couldn't possibly comment.
