I think the distinction here is whether the statement would generally
be interpreted as taking an action. "I am a player" is not an action,
so posting that to a public forum would simply be stating that you are
a player. "I declare myself to be a player", on the other hand, is
much more likely to be an action, and given how lenient we want to be
with these things, it ought to make a person a player.

I assume that Blaise Pascal is not a player but CAN register.

I think the proper interpretation of "any" here (darn that "any"!) is
that all of the statements would result in becoming a player. 1 would
not but 2 would, so the answer is FALSE.
